Cybersecurity company Exabeam names Mike Byron as its CFO

BROOMFIELD — Exabeam Inc., a Broomfield-based cybersecurity company, has named Mike Byron as chief financial officer.

Byron has more than 20 years’ experience leading global finance organizations, including as senior vice president of strategic finance at Mimecast, where he helped grow the company after its initial public offering, as well as its subsequent $5.8 billion sale to private-equity firm Permira in 2022.

Byron also has held leadership positions at Rapid7, Parexel International and Millipore Corp.

“Mike’s cybersecurity market experience and ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and optimize operations for growth makes him an invaluable addition to Exabeam,” Chris O’Malley, CEO of Exabeam, said in a prepared statement. “His expertise in educating leadership on critical performance insights and aligning financial strategies with long-term business goals will be instrumental as we continue to scale and deliver on our mission to empower security teams with advanced threat detection, investigation, and response solutions.”

Exabeam in July merged with LogRhythm Inc., a computer data-security company.
