Capstone at Centerra’s sale won’t affect operations, official says

LOVELAND — Capstone at Centerra has been sold for $40 million, but a marketing official for the Loveland assisted-living center’s Florida-based operating company says she anticipates no changes in the center’s operations.

According to Larimer County property records, the property at 4295 McWhinney Blvd. was sold by Loveland SLP LLC to 4295 McWhinney LLC, and the sale was recorded Nov. 22.

Colorado Secretary of State records show that the selling entity is registered to Hunt Midwest Residential, based in Kansas City, Missouri. That company was founded six decades ago by the late Lamar Hunt, a business owner and philanthropist most well known as the owner of the Kansas City Chiefs and a principal founder of the American Football League and Major League Soccer.

The purchasing entity is registered to IRA Capital, based in Irvine, California.

“We are excited to partner with new ownership who shares our commitment to excellence and preserving the warm, welcoming environment that makes The Capstone at Centerra Senior Living a special place to call home,” Diana Ferrante Thies, senior vice president for marketing and product development at Bonita Springs, Florida-based Discovery Senior Living, said in an email to BizWest. “This transition will not impact daily operations or the exceptional care and services that we provide to our residents, their families and our dedicated team members.”
