Broomfield, Extraction reach agreement on drilling
BROOMFIELD — The city of Broomfield has approved a new version of Extraction Oil & Gas’s comprehensive drilling plan.
The Broomfield Enterprise reported that the city announced approval of the plan Monday night. Extraction and the city have been arguing for months about the company’s plans to drill 84 wells in the community. The plan reportedly addresses issues that the city had raised.
Next steps, in accordance with the operator agreement Broomfield signed with Extraction on Oct. 24, include issuing improvement permits.
