Direct bus would connect Longmont, DIA
If the Regional Transportation District approves the plan July 28, an hourly bus service starting in September will connect downtown Longmont with Denver International Airport, with stops at Park-n-Rides in Niwot and Lafayette.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera, RTD’s Operations, Safety and Security Committee advanced the proposal Wednesday for the proposed “Route AL” SkyRide service.
The proposed route comes nearly a year after Longmont-based Eight Black Airport Shuttle abruptly closed, leading Northwest Parkway LLC to sue that service over unpaid tolls. The new RTD route would be funded through the Colorado Clean Transit Enterprise grant program.
