Run for a hearty cause
GREELEY — Runners who want to exercise and help local cardiac patients should take note of the Resolve to Run charity run on Jan. 18 at the University of Northern Colorado University Center in Greeley.
The event is for anyone interested in a 5K run, or to challenge themselves to see how many 5K loops they can do in 12 hours.
The races start at 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., and will have racers running in a 5K loop around the UNC campus, north to 16th Street and back.
“The event is designed to kick off the New Year with a focus on community, health, and perseverance,” according to a news release. “Participants will collect unique pins for every 5K they complete, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the North Colorado Medical Center Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Program to support life-changing care in our community,.”
Costs range from $44.35 to $139.75.
