Loveland-based marketing, event firm rebrands

LOVELAND — After 17 years of serving its clients under the name My Big Day, the  Loveland-based marketing and events company has rebranded as Big Deal Co., according to a founder and CEO Christine Forster.

The company, which opened in 2006 and provides advertising, marketing and planning for corporate occasions as well as weddings and other events, was a 2017 and 2018 BizWest Mercury 100 honoree for fastest-growing companies in Northern Colorado, and Forster was a BizWest 40 Under Forty honoree in 2014.

In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Forster’s company developed a pop-up movie theater, the Loveland Drive-in, at the Outlets at Loveland’s north parking lot.

How dispatchable resources enable the clean energy transition

Platte River must prepare for the retirement of 431 megawatts (MW) of dispatchable, coal-fired generation by the end of the decade and address more frequent extreme weather events that can bring dark calms (periods when there is no sun or wind).

Forster said Monday that she’s the only full-time employee but has a team of 15 contracted specialists.

She said the decision to rebrand the company was made because “we felt our name didn’t fully capture our services, our personality and how we felt about our clients.”

It traditionally has served really small businesses that couldn’t afford a big marketing agency, she said, and has done a lot of in-kind work for nonprofits.

“I think the new name captures how we feel about our clients,” Forster said. “Everyone’s a big deal.”
