Can’d Aid plans skateboard build to benefit Longmont students
LONGMONT — Can’d Aid, a Longmont-based nonprofit, will build 135 skateboards Sunday, March 12, to donate to students in third, fourth and fifth grades at Northridge Elementary.
Can’d Aid has partnered with Square State Skate on the effort, which will provide Northridge students with a week-long physical-education program with their new skateboards.
Through Can’d Aid’s national Treads + Trails program, more than 13,000 skateboards and bikes have been built and donated to underprivileged youth over the past decade.
