Independent Bank rebrands as Independent Financial

MCKINNEY, TEXAS — Independent Bank, a subsidiary of Independent Bank Group Inc. (Nasdaq: IBTX) has begun rolling out its new name, Independent Financial.

The McKinney, Texas-based bank, which acquired Denver-based Guaranty Bancorp. (Nasdaq: GBNK) Jan. 1 for $1 billion, has begun notifying customers of the change, which was first announced in May. The bank at the time said the brand would first be unveiled in Colorado in the summer of 2020 before rolling out to other markets.

“Independent Financial marks the beginning of a new chapter in our 30-plus year story,”  president and CEO David Brooks said in the press release.. “By transitioning to Independent Financial, the organization is able to preserve the spirit and goodwill of our original name, while embracing opportunities to grow new markets and deliver a broadened array of products and services.”

Independent Financial operates branches in Berthoud, Brighton, Boulder, Eaton, Fort Collins, Greeley, Longmont, Loveland and Westminster.
