Odell to open Sloan’s Lake taphouse in 2020

DENVER — Odell Brewing is opening a third location in the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood in Denver.

The Fort Collins-based brewer plans to open a 10-barrel pilot brewhouse and a pizza kitchen in the former Kuhlman Building at the corner of West 17th Avenue and Perry Street, just south of Sloan’s Lake Park in summer 2020, according to a press release.

Odell will carry exclusive brews at the Kuhlman site and have a rooftop patio. Construction is set to begin this year.

The brewer already has a taphouse in Denver’s River North Arts District about five miles northeast of the Sloan’s Lake building.

Odell spokesman Alex Kayne said the company was interested in opening a second taproom because of the response it got from the RiNo location, and to serve Denver’s growing population at the neighborhood level.

“The neighborhoods in Denver are gaining their own personality and their own communities, and we recognize that there’s no shortage of fans to reach in Sloan’s Lake neighborhood,” he said.
