Mile High Comics closes one location

GLENDALE — Mile High Comics Inc. is closing its Glendale location at 760 S. Colorado Blvd. due to high rent, limited parking and the departure of its long-time manager.

The company’s flagship store at 4600 Jason St. will continue to be open, according to a report in Westword.

The Glendale store was originally part of the long-closed Celebrity Sports Center, a project funded by Walt and Roy Disney, Jack Benny, Bing Crosby and others. The Jason Street store is 65,000 square feet and reported revenue increases in the year just completed, according to…
