SelectTech to bring 150 jobs to Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS — SelectTech Services Corp., a Dayton, Ohio-based aerospace company, will expand to Colorado Springs.
The expansion is expected to create 150 jobs at an average annual wage of $85,927, which is 126% of the average annual wage in El Paso County. Positions will include engineers and technicians, as well as buyers, managers, planners, and technical writers.
SelectTech’s expansion was announced Wednesday at the Space Symposium, an industry event in Colorado Springs, on the same day that Danish defense company Multicut A/S announced that it would expand to Loveland’s Forge campus, bringing 82 jobs.
SelectTech provides the U.S. Department of Defense and its partners with design, integration and technical support services for air- and ground-based products. The company selected El Paso County for its proximity to government clients, including the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force, as well as original equipment manufacturers within the aerospace industry, according to a press release.
“Our growth is about more than adding square footage or a headcount; it’s about investing in people and a place,” Heather Fattah, president and CEO of SelectTech, said in a prepared statement. “El Paso County stood out to us as the right place to grow our small business because it’s a community that prioritizes its people, long-term partnerships and responsible growth over rapid scale. We’re excited to build a workforce where our employees can establish meaningful careers while contributing to the long-term success of the region in aerospace manufacturing and mission-critical capabilities.”
The Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to $1,98 million in a performance-based Job Growth Incentive Tax Credit for the company over an eight-year period. These incentives are contingent upon SelectTech, referred to as Project Oak throughout the OEDIT review process, meeting net new job creation and salary requirements.
In addition to Colorado, SelectTech considered Ohio for expansion. The company has more than 160 employees, 13 of which are located in Colorado.
