Town hall set Tuesday on wildfire mitigation

SUPERIOR — County commissioners will hold a town hall Tuesday in Superior to discuss issues surrounding wildfire in Boulder County.

The event, free and open to the public, will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Superior Community Center, 1500 Coalton Road in Superior.

Jim Webster and Abby Silver from the Wildfire Partners Program will be on hand to address several aspects of wildfire mitigation including wildfire behavior and how it can impact the east and west county, the county’s wildfire mitigation tax and its wildfire protection plan.

Wildfire Partners programs and services include rebates for mitigation actions, community mitigation planning and preparedness, youth Services for underserved residents and communities, outreach and education.

No virtual option will be available for the town hall, but any residents and business owners who cannot attend can email commissioners@bouldercounty.gov with questions or to request materials shared at the event. Spanish interpretation will be available for attendees.
