AG willing to litigate to protect Colo. water rights
DENVER – Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser says his office’s legal team is being prepared to launch possible legal action to protect the state’s rights to Colorado River water.
According to The Denver Post, Weiser noted that “the challenges with water are heating up.” and that “tThe era of the lower basin states taking as much water as they wanted — up to 10 million acre-feet when they’re only entitled 7.5 — is over.”
