Sovos appoints chief growth officer
LOUISVILLE — Food-brand company Sovos Brands Inc. (Nasdaq: SOVO) has hired E. Yuri Hermida as its chief growth officer, the company announced Monday.
Hermida will be responsible for executing Sovos’ growth strategy and will oversee its sales, marketing and business segments.
“Yuri is a dynamic leader with proven experience building and scaling consumer brands,” Sovos founder, president and CEO Todd Lachman said in a prepared statement. “His unique expertise will be instrumental as we continue to execute upon our vision of bringing consumers simple, great-tasting food that fits the way they live. Yuri has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to build and lead talented teams to successfully grow profitable consumer product businesses across geographies globally, which will be invaluable to Sovos Brands in our journey ahead.”

Hermida is currently an executive vice president at health and hygiene goods company Reckitt. Prior to that, he spent more than two decades at P&G.Founded in 2017, Sovos made headlines locally in 2018 when it bought Bellvue-based Noosa Yoghurt LLC and again in 2020 when it absorbed Denver waffle mix maker Birch Benders LLC. It went public last year with a $1.17 billion valuation at the time of the IPO.
