BBB names Spark award winners
LOVELAND — Four businesses from Northern Colorado were recognized last week as winners of the annual Better Business Bureau Spark Awards for Entrepreneurship.
The Spark awards are given out during the BBB Torch Awards event. Torch awards recognize ethical practices; Spark awards recognize entrepreneurship.
The Spark Award for Entrepreneurship is open to businesses between six months and three years old (extended to four years old this year only). Businesses must be in good standing with BBB; 14 candidates were competing for the awards.

Winners, all from Fort Collins, were:
- Better People Care LLC, a dementia and memory care therapy provider.
- ki.co Marketing, a marketing and design firm.
- Rocky Mountain Woodworks LLC, a custom designer and builder of natural playgrounds.
- Solar Pathways Energy & Electrical, a design and installer of solar energy, home battery, and EV charging systems.
“This year we have a diverse group of Spark Award winners who are all bringing innovative approaches to a wide variety of industries from dementia care to solar energy and from marketing and design to playground construction,” BBB president and CEO Shelley Polansky said in a written statement. “Each of these four businesses has established itself on a strong foundation of trust and ethics, and we look forward to watching them continue to grow, succeed, and enrich our communities.”
