Agfinity CEO steps down
LOVELAND — Agfinity Inc. president and CEO Jason Brancel will depart his post to take the helm at Arkansas-based Riceland Foods Inc. The move is effective April 1.
Brancel assumed his current position at Agfinity in February 2016 and oversaw operations at the Loveland-based agricultural cooperative. Agfinity’s board of trustees announced in an email to members that the search for a new president and CEO will begin immediately.
The 115-year-old cooperative focuses on agronomy, energy and retail services for members, and serves Northern Colorado as well as parts of Nebraska and Wyoming.
Riceland Foods is a cooperative that serves farmers of rice and soybeans, and advertises itself as the world’s largest miller and marketer of rice products. Brancel was unanimously approved by Riceland’s board of directors after a search process that began in July 2021.
Agfinity operates facilities around Northern Colorado, and partners with CHS Inc. C-Stores, Ace Hardware and Town & Country to sell seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and fuel. Its headquarters are at 4065 St. Cloud Drive in Loveland.
