Economic forecast: Recovery continues, with 2022 slower than 2021
LOVELAND — Colorado’s economy is recovering well from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it still has a long way to go, and 2022 may be a slower year than 2021.
That was the message from keynote speaker Rich Wobbekind Thursday morning at the 2022 Economic Forecast at the Embassy Suites in Loveland hosted by BizWest.
“We’re not talking about the economy going into any very deep slowdown,” said Wobbekind, associate dean and senior economist at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. “Just tapering off a little from 2021.”
