JumpCloud adds CRO, $25M to previous funding round
LOUISVILLE — JumpCloud Inc., a directory-as-a-service technology platform, recently hired a new chief revenue officer and announced that the firm’s Series E fundraising round was oversubscribed, raising the round total from $75 million to $100 million.
Kevin Biggs, who has held sales and leadership positions with web-security firm Blue Coat Systems LLC and IBM Corp. (NYSE: IBM), is JumpCloud’s new chief revenue officer, according to a company news release.
“2020 lock-downs forced organizations to modernize legacy domain-based approaches to IT infrastructure. That has driven demand for JumpCloud’s directory platform, which makes it easier for resource constrained IT teams to adopt a zero trust security model,” JumpCloud CEO Rajat Bhargava said in the release. “As global interest in our platform grows, we continue to add experienced talent across our teams. Kevin Biggs is a phenomenal leader who will drive new growth and maturity in our sales organization. His successful track record with Blue Coat, D2L, IBM, and OneLogin, as well as a people-focused approach, fit very well with our culture. We are thrilled to have him join.”

With the Series E round, JumpCloud has now raised a total of nearly $200 million in outside financing.
The firm previously told BizWest the “funding will be used to expand product development, marketing and sales globally.” JumpCloud has said it plans to hire as many as 500 workers over the next few years.
To accommodate new and future growth, JumpCloud moved in 2019 from its temporary offices in Boulder to a new headquarters in Louisville.
