Developers top out The Standard apartment project in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS — Developers of a five-story, 237-unit student-housing development near the Colorado State University campus have topped out the project.

Project owner Landmark Properties Inc., based in Athens, Georgia, and its general contractor, Menlo Park, California-based Katerra Inc., announced progress on The Standard, a mixed-use development marketed to students and professionals in Fort Collins. The project is located on South College Avenue, adjacent to the CSU campus.

The new development will feature floor-plan options ranging from studios to five bedrooms.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to bring a unique high-quality living option to residents in Fort Collins near Colorado State’s campus and the vibrant downtown area,” Landmark Properties president and CEO Wes Rogers said in a press release. “As enrollment continues to grow, so too does demand for desirable off-campus housing. We see Fort Collins as a great community where we can meet an existing need, and we look forward to serving CSU students and professionals for many years to come.”

The Standard at Fort Collins will encompass more than 355,000 square feet and will include 1,500 square feet of retail space.

The development features a rooftop swimming pool, coffee bar, study lounge, private study rooms, 24-hour fitness center, clubhouse, grilling spaces and outdoor courtyards.

Construction on The Standard is expected to be completed by fall 2020.
