Royal Crest recognized for worker safety

LONGMONT — Royal Crest Dairy Inc., based in Denver but with operations in Longmont, has been recognized by the Colorado Division of Workers Compensation for its safety track record.

Royal Crest dates to 1927 and is in the business of producing and delivering milk to the doorstep. Its headquarters is at 350 South Pearl Street in Denver with additional operations at Longmont and Colorado Springs.

Royal Crest has been certified by the Premium Cost Containment Program since 1991 and holds the oldest active certification in the program.

Also recognized by the workers comp division was Tolin Mechanical. Tolin is a Denver-based company focused on mechanical refrigeration construction and services. “These Colorado businesses are leaders in their respective industries, and we’re proud to have worked with each of them to ensure that they are also leaders in workplace safety,” Paul Tauriello, director of the Division of Workers Compensation, said in a press release.

Currently, more than 4,200 Colorado businesses are active in the program and 478,000 Colorado workers employed at companies that are certified in the program.
