Vegan eatery Native Foods to open FoCo location next week
FORT COLLINS — Native Foods, a vegan fast-casual restaurant that has had a location in Boulder for more than a decade, will open its first Northern Colorado eatery next Tuesday at 3300 S College Ave., Suite 110, in Fort Collins.
The 2,527-square-foot space near the Foothills shopping district had been home to a Smashburger restaurant, which closed before the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Native Foods brand originated in Palm Springs, California, in 1994, and has expanded to 12 locations. The menu offers familiar comfort foods for vegan, flexitarian and plant-curious guests, all without the use of any animal products. All its menu items are made from scratch with non-GMO, environmentally sustainable ingredients, and are sourced from local producers whenever possible. Its spring menu will include items such as a “VeggRib” and New Orleans-style beignets.

From opening day through March 28, Native Foods will donate $1 for every (plant-based) chicken sandwich sold toward Bounce Animal Rescue, a volunteer-based organization that works to rescue and find homes for displaced domestic animals.
Besides stores in Boulder, Denver and Lone Tree, the chain has California locations in Palm Springs, Los Angeles and San Diego. It has three restaurants in Chicago and plans to open one this year in the St. Louis suburb of Clayton, Missouri.
