Search underway for TGTHR leader as longtime CEO plans exit
BOULDER — Chris Nelson, CEO of Boulder-based youth homelessness nonprofit organization TGTHR, is leaving next month after 14 years and the group is conducting a national search for his successor.
“It would be impossible to overstate Chris’ contributions to our organization,” TGTHR board chairman Ed Victor said in a prepared statement. “Chris has not only been a CEO, but a leader who lived our values and demonstrated a tireless commitment to our mission of ending youth homelessness in our lifetimes.”
Board member Mark Bouzek has been appointed as interim CEO, according to a TGTHR news release.

“We are confident that Chris, Mark, the board of directors and TGTHR staff will ensure no disruptions to service while also giving us time to consider both internal and external candidates nationwide for the best possible CEO,” Victor’s statement said. “Chris will be a tough act to follow as we continue TGTHR’s march toward ending youth homelessness in the markets we serve while providing a national model for others to follow.”
