Ziggi’s opens first location in Lafayette

LAFAYETTE — Ziggi’s Coffee Franchise LLC has opened its first location in Lafayette, the 55th in the network of coffee shops around the country.

The Lafayette store will be at 2396 Balmstone Drive near Good Samaritan Medical Center. It is owned by franchisees Brett and Tammy Russell. It features an indoor café and drive-thru lane.   

According to a press statement, the Russells have been Ziggi’s customers from the beginning and saw an opportunity.

“We saw the support and program that Ziggi’s offered its franchisees and just knew we had to be part of this company,” Tammy Russell said in a written statement. “We are excited to open this location, with two others in development, including a location in Erie that we will break ground on this fall.” 

The Lafayette location will be open Mondays through Fridays from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m. and weekends from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. 

“We both grew up in this area and have been part of the medical field, so this location is our way of giving back to the local community and supporting our hardworking health care professionals,” Russell said.  

A grand opening will be 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. July 30.
