Hat maker adds scarves for cancer patients

BOULDER – Wallaroo Hat Co. has unveiled a new line of head scarves and turbans designed for women who have lost their hair during medical treatment.

The Boulder-based company sells four different head scarves and two turbans in several colors and fabrics. Prices for the scarves and turbans range from $30 to $70. The Christine Headwear line is designed to empower women who are fighting against cancer and other serious diseases, the company said in a press statement. It’s the first time the hat company has branched off in a new headwear direction.

Wallaroo Hat Co. has been involved with the American Cancer Society, the Skin Cancer Foundation and other cancer-related groups.
