Community Banks of Colorado to close Boulder branch
BOULDER — National Bank Holdings Corp. (NYSE: NBHC), a Greenwood Village-based institution that operates locally as Community Banks of Colorado, intends to close another branch, this time in Boulder.
According to the Colorado Division of Banking, the closure of the bank’s Boulder branch, 2045 Broadway, and another in Utah, was approved earlier this month.
The Boulder branch remains open and will continue to operate near the Pearl Street Mall until it consolidates with the company’s Arvada branch on Feb. 21, said an employee who answered the phones Friday.

Customers can still make use of the banks’ online banking services. NBH operates 92 branches in eight states, according to information listed through the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. As of its third-quarter banking reports, the company had $24 billion in assets and $19 billion in deposits.NBH has previously closed other branches throughout Colorado, including one in Greeley in 2020 and one in Fort Collins in 2019.
