Kristin Todd – Nonprofit Executive of the Year

Kristin Todd has been named the Nonprofit Executive of the Year for her work at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado.

A community builder at heart, Todd, executive director of the Community Foundation, espouses a regional approach to northern Colorado as a whole.

“We are stronger together, we’re all going to grow together, Weld and Larimer counties have some of the highest growth in state and the country,” she said in an episode of the loco Experience podcast.  “Growth isn’t good, growth isn’t bad. Growth just is.  How do we want to respond as a community so we can get ahead of it?”

Todd believes wholeheartedly that, “relationships build trust.”
“I thrive on being a hands-on, engaged partner working side-by-side with business and community leaders to develop high-impact solutions to community issues. I am motivated by the power of philanthropy to transform ideas into demonstrated social change,” she wrote on her LinkedIn profile.

A life-long advocate of philanthropy, she has spent the past 25 years helping to foster and maximize impact through strategic philanthropy, creative partnerships, and authentic collaborations, according to her nominator,

Since joining the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, Todd has helped to create a reputation for community building for the organization. She contributed to the Northern Colorado Intersections Report, which focuses on pursuing regional well-being, highlights what our communities are doing well, and focuses on the challenges each of our growing communities is experiencing. This is a first-of-its-kind report that breaks down the pain points of a growing community, allowing change-makers and philanthropists to have a better idea of how they can help create a lasting impact for generations to come. Kristin is driven to continually increase the Foundation’s influence and impact on the Northern Colorado communities.
