Albuquerque Isotopes pitching coach to lead NoCo Owlz
WINDSOR — The Northern Colorado Owlz has hired Frank Gonzales, former pitching coach for the Colorado Rockies Triple-A affiliate Albuquerque Isotopes, as its new manager.
Gonzales is a Colorado State University graduate who previously managed baseball squads at Fort Collins High School and with the Grand Junction Rockies and Boise Hawks.
“Having a local legend like Coach Gonzales on board can bring Owlz baseball back to the dynasty that it was,” Owlz owner Jeff Katofsky said in a prepared statement. “Not only that, but to have him coaching and training children of all ages in our youth programs and tournaments will continue to raise the bar at Future Legends.”
