nSpire Health surrenders Longmont offices
LONGMONT — nSpire Health Inc. will vacate office space in Longmont as part of its ongoing bankruptcy proceedings.
In filings with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of Colorado last week, the Longmont-based respiratory device maker said it had reached an agreement with its landlord, an American subsidiary of Vancouver private equity firm Balfour Pacific LP, to break its lease for 1830 Lefthand Circle and vacate within five days of the court’s approval.
The lease covered 22,264 square feet.
nSpire first declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April, saying it had just under $4.5 million in assets and just more than $2.12 million in liabilities.
In a series of court filings, the company accused its largest creditor, Denver-based Montage Capital LP, of freezing operating funds and hampering its reorganization efforts. Montage claims nSpire was trying to blame its creditors for its failure instead of management.
In September, it agreed to pay Montage $640,000 out of the $1.65 million loan.
