Objections raised to CU president finalist

BOULDER — Objections to the pending appointment of Mark Kennedy to be the next president of the University of Colorado are growing.

The Longmont Times-Call reported that access to Kennedy’s voting record when he served as a U.S. representative from Minnesota have led some to suggest that he may be out of sync with the university on diversity issues. Meanwhile news reports from North Dakota, where Kennedy currently serves at the University of North Dakota, have treated his finalist status in Colorado as if his appointment has already occurred.
