Fire consumes main building of Estes Park lodge

ESTES PARK — A fire destroyed the main lodge of Marys Lake Lodge on Saturday night after more than 50 firefighters were able to limit the spread of the flames to the main building.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, reports the Denver Post. Although the fire is out, firefighters are expected to continue putting out hot spots over the next few days. Investigators will determine the cause of the fire.

About 230 people were evacuated from the lodge Saturday night, with no major injuries. The fire was declared under control early Sunday morning.
