FORT COLLINS — A Texas-based builder of self-storage facilities has opened Timberline Self Storage in Fort Collins and has two more facilities in the works in Northern Colorado.

Grow Your Storage  Development LLC opened Timberline Self Storage last week at 2120 Midpoint Drive, the southeast corner of Timberline and Prospect roads. It has 88,000 square feet of storage space with a variety of unit sizes in both climate-controlled and drive-up units.  

GYS Development, owned and operated by Lee Fredrick and Brandon Grebe based in Luftkin, Texas, also will build self-storage units at  6020 S. College Ave.  in Fort Collins and has a six-acre site under contract in Windsor for another facility.

The facility at 6020 S. College Drive is at the southwest corner of S. College and Skyway Drive. The company will break ground soon on the three-story, 107,000-square-foot climate-controlled facility. It is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2018.

Plans for the facility in Windsor are going through the town’s approval process. It is in the Falcon Point business park at the southeast corner of Colorado highways 392 and 257. The company expects to break ground this winter and open in the second quarter of 2018.

Similar to Timberline Self Storage, both South College Self Storage and East Windsor Self Storage will be built by GYS General Contracting,  a company under the GYS brand that builds self-storage facilities for the company’s internal development projects and third-party clients.

GYS Development partnered with All Pro Capital on these projects to secure the debt and equity.  The facilities have access control and security features, local onsite management, and online renting capabilities. GYS LLC will be the property management company for these facilities.  

GYS Development has self-storage units in Colorado Springs, Loveland and Denver in addition to several in Texas.
