Boulder planning board rejects 3303 Broadway development

A mixed-use development that was slated to provide middle-income housing as well as retail and commercial space was rejected by the Boulder planning board on Thursday night.

The Camera reports that the board shot down plans for the project dubbed Iris & B, which would have placed 50 housing units, including apartments, townhomes and efficiency units, at 3303 Broadway, the former site of People’s Clinic.

The number of housing units in the project had been downsized from an original proposal taken before planning board for a concept review last fall, but, the Camera notes, the planning board on Thursday felt Iris & B still didn’t align with the Boulder Valley Comprehensive Plan.
