Aspen fueling record month for Pitkin County real estate

It’s not just the Front Range enjoying a real estate boom in Colorado. September is proving to be a record month in Pitkin County on the Western Slope thanks largely to a thriving market in Aspen.

The Aspen Times reports that the county’s top 45 property deals through Friday accounted for $227 million in September sales. That includes three single-family home sales last week that totaled $41.8 million. Aspen has accounted for $185 million in sales so far this month.
