Boettcher Foundation awards 3 local nonprofits $130,000
BOULDER — Three Boulder nonprofits are among 18 around the state to be awarded capital funding grants from the Boettcher Foundation.
The grants, announced Monday, are to help support community-enrichment projects.

Platte River must prepare for the retirement of 431 megawatts (MW) of dispatchable, coal-fired generation by the end of the decade and address more frequent extreme weather events that can bring dark calms (periods when there is no sun or wind).
• “I Have a Dream” Foundation of Boulder County, $30,000 toward the purchase and renovation of a new headquarters facility.
• Museum of Boulder, $75,000 toward the purchase and renovation of a historic building to serve as the museum’s new home.
• The Dairy Center for the Arts, $25,000 toward renovation of the organization’s existing facility.
