Boulder-based Summit Source Funding raising $1.5M for Kansas drilling operations

BOULDER – Local private equity firm Summit Source Funding LLC disclosed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission this week that the company is raising up to $1.5 million through an entity called Sunlight Peak Petroleum LP.

Lucas Kalisher, one of two principals with Summit Source Funding, said Tuesday that his company is raising the money to fund drilling operations at a two-well oil project in central Kansas where the company recently bought the drilling lease.

Summit Source was founded in 2013 by Kalisher and James Stelzer.
