Visit Longmont director resigns

LONGMONT — Visit Longmont is looking for a new leader again after executive director Joe Ward resigned Friday to take another job.

Visit Longmont will start a national search for a new executive director soon, said Anne Schmid, president of the board. Ward said in a resignation letter that he had found a new job, but did not give details about what it would be, Schmid said. Ward was not immediately available for comment on Monday.

Visit Longmont’s budget comes from the city of Longmont’s 2 percent lodging tax on all hotels, motels and bed and breakfast locations. In 2012, the city…
