Fort Collins-Loveland home inventory down 11 percent in May

FORT COLLINS – The number of homes for sale in May fell to 2,637 in the Fort Collins-Loveland area, an 11 percent decline compared to the previous May, according to new data.
Realtor.com data also showed that median prices in the area were up to $259,000, a 3.64 percent increase from May 2011. The national median list price was $194,900, up 3.17 percent from the same period of 2011.

The median age of inventory was 67 days, a 2.9 percent decrease compared to the previous month. Nationally, the median age of inventory was 83 days, down 1.19 percent from April.

Fort Collins-Loveland was the 125th most-searched market in the country in May, according to Realtor.com. The Boulder-Longmont area was the next most-searched in Colorado and No. 111 nationally.
