Colorado 6th best in nation for noncurrent loans

In Colorado, 6.5 percent of active mortgage loans were non-current during February, down 13.4 percent from the same period in 2011.

Only five states reported lower percentages of non-current loans. Non-current loans are those that are 90-plus-days delinquent or in foreclosure.

According to the report by Lender Processing Services, the percentage of non-current loans decreased three times faster in states with non-judicial foreclosures than states with judicial foreclosures. Colorado is a non-judicial foreclosure state, using a public trustee to process foreclosures.
