Electric car to pace race

BOULDER – The first all-electric, mass-market automobile will be the official pace car of the BolderBOULDER.

The 33rd running of the 10-kilometer race is Monday, and hundreds of runners will follow the Nissan LEAF, a 100 percent electric, zero emission vehicle.

Nissan Motor Co. is a sponsor of the race. The vehicle will be at the race promoting the “Innovation for Endurance” program, which is sponsored by Nissan and Rodale Inc., a publishing company that produces Men’s Health, Women’s Health and Runner’s World magazines.
