PVH receives Komen grants
FORT COLLINS – Poudre Valley Hospital has an additional $96,000 in grants to treat breast cancer patients who might otherwise go untreated or under-treated.
PVH received two grants from the Komen Foundation, the hospital announced Wednesday. The grants will be used to treat low-income, uninsured or medically underserved patients.
An $80,000 grant will be used to treat low-income or uninsured patients in need of surgery, radiology, chemotherapy or other treatment and follow-up care. A $16,000 grant will be used to bring more underserved patients into the National Cancer Institute clinical trials at PVH.
