Former Steele’s Markets locations in flux

Some stores re-open, others waiting for development options

In the five months since Steele’s Markets Inc. succumbed to bankruptcy, only two of its former locations have new occupants.

One property may be another two months away from a lease deal. Another property is going through the planning process with the city of Fort Collins. The fate of the remaining two properties — controlled by Nash Finch Co. — has not been revealed yet.
