Conexus Insurance wins award for work with F.R.I.E.N.D.S. of Broomfield

WESTMINSTER — Liberty Mutual has awarded Conexus Insurance Partners Inc. a 2026 Make More Happen Award for its impactful partnership with F.R.I.E.N.D.S. of Broomfield, a nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities The award includes a $5,000 donation, which can be doubled to $10,000 through online community support.

Conexus Insurance Partners and F.R.I.E.N.D.S. of Broomfield’s story is featured on the official Make More Happen microsite at https://www.agentgiving.com/conexus-insurance-partners-2/,  where supporters can vote to help unlock the full $10,000 donation. If the story receives at least 750 combined votes and comments, the $5,000 award will be doubled. The funding would help fuel the mission of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. by keeping the organization’s transportation fleet running, ensuring adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can receive on-the-job support to be successful in the workplace, access community programs, pursue their hobbies and interests, and build meaningful relationships.

“F.R.I.E.N.D.S. of Broomfield promotes values that reflect our People First philosophy, where dignity is a starting point, not an afterthought,” Sara Hoffman, principal at Conexus Insurance Partners, said in a written statement. “Their person-centered approach empowers individuals and creates long-term stability for families in our community which is something we strive to do as an independent insurance agency.”

Conexus team members have become involved with the organization. Nine employees recently joined a F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Day Program martial arts and life-skills class, training alongside participants. The agency also supported F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ annual Friendsgiving celebration and contributed through its “Pie It Forward” campaign, matching donations up to $1,000 while encouraging recurring monthly gifts. 

Throughout 2026, Liberty Mutual Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications that highlight their commitment to a specific cause.
