Social Venture Partners names new board members
BOULDER — Social Venture Partners Boulder County has appointed Madeline Tomseth and Barbara Truan to its board of directors.
Tomseth is an executive coach and a strategic impact partner at Niveau Philanthropy, a donor-advised fund. She is a former owner of Les Schwab Tire Centers and founded a food-styling business.
Truan has been an educator, nonprofit leader and corporate trainer. She also has led local nonprofits as head of Jarrow Montessori School and interim executive director at Cultivate in Boulder.
“We are excited to have Madeline and Barb joining our board of directors. They have offered so much to our community in so many ways and continue to find ways for SVP to connect and innovate,” Joshua Silberstein, CEO of SVP Boulder County, said in a written statement. “We are excited to learn and work beside Madeline and Barb as Social Venture Partners continues our work to strengthen our Boulder County community.”
Social Venture Partners Boulder County helps connect local nonprofits with skilled volunteers, training and leadership support. Since 2000, the organization has provided more than $7 million in pro bono consulting and $1.7 million in cash grants to more than 500 nonprofits.
