East Colorado SBDC adds four to staff
GREELEY — The East Colorado Small Business Development Center, which serves 20 counties in eastern Colorado, has added several new staff members.
New staff members include:
- Martha Alvarez: associate director, Lamar Community College office. A bilingual Lamar native with a bachelor’s degree in communications from West Texas A&M University, Alvarez brings experience in radio, news and communications to her new role. Alvarez joined the City of Lamar in 2019, where she contributed to urban-renewal-authority district management and downtown revitalization.
- Kara Berg: fiscal manager, University of Northern Colorado Greeley office. Berg holds a degree in accounting and a masters in business administration and brings 20 years of experience with nonprofits and higher education.
- Harshitha Ginne: event and training coordinator, UNC Greeley office. Ginne has a background in IT, economic development and multilingual communication.
- Briana Hale: marketing and communication coordinator, UNC Greeley office. Hale holds a bachelor’s degree in equine science and a masters in business administration and brings experience in marketing and the agriculture industry. She has been with the East Colorado SBDC as a business adviser for two years and has now transitioned into a new role as the marketing and communication coordinator.
The East Colorado SBDC is hosted by the Monfort College of Business on the UNC campus in Greeley and serves Adams, Arapahoe, Baca, Bent, Cheyenne, Crowley, Elbert, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Lincoln, Las Animas, Logan, Morgan, Otero, Phillips, Prowers, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld and Yuma counties.
