Greeley MLK event moved to virtual status

GREELEY — The annual Martin Luther King Jr. remembrance in Greeley will take place virtually this year.

The event, a joint effort of the Marcus Garvey Cultural Center, University of Northern Colorado, city of Greeley, Aims Community College, Greeley-Weld School District 6, and High Plains Library District, recognizes the life and legacy of King.

The event was scheduled to be held in-person on Monday, Jan. 17, but organizers sent an update today indicating the event would be virtual and that details would be available here. Previous plans called for an MLK March followed by a program at the Monfort Concert Hall.
