DIA taps two new firms for Great Hall renovation

DENVER — Denver International Airport is planning to hire Canadian engineering firm Stantec Inc. and Greeley constructor Hensel Phelps Construction Co. to restart the airport’s maligned Great Hall Project.

The Denver Post reports the two firms were brought in months after DIA fired its previous contractors, which predicted the project to take three years longer and cost over $300 million more than expected. The Denver City Council has yet to award the contracts.
