McWhinney expands hotel portfolio through construction, acquisition
LOVELAND — McWhinney, a real estate developer based in Loveland and Denver, is greatly expanding its portfolio of hotel properties in Colorado and Oregon.
The company has developed more than 6,000 acres and 6.5 million square feet of property in the Rocky Mountain region and the West Coast. McWhinney in May acquired the 123-room Hyatt House Denver Airport Hotel near Denver International Airport. Sage Hospitality Inc. will manage the hotel.
