Iomega eyes vacant StorageTek building

LONGMONT — Iomega Inc., a manufacturer of removable hard drives, is eyeing a lease on the former Storage Technology Corp. plant, with a decision expected within the next six weeks.
Iomega, which employs about 1,500 in Roy, Utah, about 30 miles from Salt Lake City, also has looked at other sites in Boulder County and in other states, said Dave Correll, director of corporate facilities. The StorageTek building encompasses about 500,000 square feet.
