Xcel looking for solar projects
DENVER — Xcel Energy is seeking proposals for solar energy projects to bolster its mix of renewable energy sources.
The company is seeking projects that would add a total of 25 megawatts of utility-scale solar power to its portfolio. Projects with less than 2 megawatts of nameplate capacity will not be considered. A pre-bid meeting will be held on Jan. 25 at Xcel’s technical services building, 550 15th St., Denver. Proposals are due by April 11 and Xcel expects to finalize contracts by Aug. 31.
