Edison’s Ice Cream to open Greeley location

GREELEY — Greeley residents have just one more day to wait for the opening of Edison’s Ice Cream, with a soft opening slated for Wednesday.

Fort Collins-based Edison’s Ice Cream will open the Greeley location at 911 Eighth Ave. in the historic Salzman Shoe building.

A grand-opening celebration will take place Saturday and Sunday, with special promotions and giveaways. Edison’s will offer buy-one-get-one scoops all day Saturday, and guests will have chances to win free pints during the festivities.

“We’re excited to finally open the doors and welcome the Greeley community in,” Nate Frary, owner of Edison’s Ice Cream LLC, said in a written statement. “The Salzman building has such a rich history, and we’re proud to bring new life to the space while creating a place where people can come together and make new memories.”

Edison’s Greeley location features the company’s “signature vintage-inspired aesthetic, with a design that pays tribute to the historic Salzman Shoe building and the era when the building was in its prime. The nostalgic space was thoughtfully created to honor the building’s past while giving the community a welcoming place to gather over great ice cream,” according to a press release.Edison’s Ice Cream produces gluten-free ice cream, with dairy and dairy-free options. The company opened its Fort Collins location in the historic Northern Hotel building in April 2025.
